Arrival
2010/12/13
On December the 13th I came back to South Africa nearly exactly two years after leaving the country. And there was it again: Lion’s Head. Well, telling the truth I didn’t see it for the first three days. Because the reason why I came back was my girl friend Minélle. I was staying with her and her family in Somerset West and this time we travelled always together.
Cape Town - Back I am

Yes, the weather was not that good in the beginning. It was cloudy and especially in the evening and night extremely windy. And this you can see at the pictures. But having only a limited time frame I better took pictures before I needed to depart again.
We took the car into the lower hill site of Table Mountain for getting free parking and not losing the car to a thief. And from there on we took the Minibus to go further. We used the red route of the hop on -hop off bus (as neither of us ever used it before).
We went to Seapoint and had a coffee at main street … my mistake I forgot that in South Africa a coffee macchiatto has nothing to do with a German Latte Macchiatto. However, we had our fun with it.
In the evening we went to the upper Table Mountain parking lot to take some sunset pictures, before we went home.
At the Strand
2010/12/17
Today we met some family members of Minélle and an college from work for a coffee in The Strands, a small city next to the beach (just if somebody wonders). With wonderful weather and a beautiful sky we took a lot of pictures: Minélle and me, Minélle and her sister, her sister and me, all together, all together with her aunt, just her aunt … well and so on. Telling the truth I didn’t put any of these pictures online.
Hermanus and the South Coast
2010/12/18
Today we went to Hermanus. It is not really whale watching time anymore but that is no reason for not going to Hermanus and as we were already there we also had a look around in the south coast area.
On the trip to Langebaan
2010/12/22
Christmas we planned to celebrate in Langebaan, which is at the west coast. I have been there in 2008 but I only recognized than I saw the fish and chips place nearby. We drove in the evening and reached Langebaan a considerable time after sunset.
